Rahul hits out at Modi, says PM destroyed farmers

Narendra Modi has finished the farmers, ask them they'll tell you the same, Rahul said.

Lucknow, Feb 21: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, "As soon as we formed an alliance in UP, Modiji became upset."

Addressing a rally in the Gandhi bastion, Rae Bareli, Rahul said that the farmers have been suffering due to Modi. "Farmers have no money, small traders have been destroyed. Narendra Modi has finished them, ask them they'll tell you the same," he said during the rally.

Rahul said that the has not fulfilled a single promise that he made in Banaras. "The son (Modi) made several promises to the mother (Varanasi) but not a single promise was fulfilled," he said.

Raking the Vijay Mallya issue, Rahul said that Modi gave a gift of Rs 1200 crore to Vijay Mallya who betrayed his country. "Vijay Mallya didn't give UP a single employment. We will set up factories in UP, Amethi and Rae Bareli," he added.
