Rahul Gandhi's 'Haryana Vijay Sankalp Yatra': Congress Gears Up To Challenge BJP In 2024 Assembly Elections

As the Congress party gears up for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, Rahul Gandhi is set to embark on the second leg of his "Haryana Vijay Sankalp Yatra," aiming to reclaim power from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This segment of the campaign comes ahead of the polls scheduled for October 5, 2024.

Gandhi previously addressed rallies in Assandh, Karnal, and Barwala, Hisar, on Thursday. His campaign will cover several districts, starting from Naraingarh in Ambala district, where he will hold a public meeting to kick off the next phase of his tour. The "yatra" will continue through Yamunanagar district, followed by stops in Mullana, Rajeev Chowk, Saha, Ambala, Shaheed Udham Singh Chowk, Shahabad, and Babain in Ladwa, Kurukshetra.

Notably, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is contesting from Ladwa, making this area a focal point in the campaign. Rahul Gandhi's itinerary includes a public meeting at Kurukshetra's Thanesar on Monday evening, where he is expected to rally support for the Congress party.

During his previous rally in Assandh, Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government for its handling of unemployment, accusing it of systematically undermining job creation in India. He expressed optimism about the Congress's chances in the upcoming elections, asserting that the party is poised to sweep the polls.

Joining him in this campaign effort will be party leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and Kumari Selja. The Congress party is determined to return to power in Haryana after a decade-long hiatus, with significant efforts being made to engage voters across the state.

The Haryana Assembly, which consists of 90 seats, will see voting take place on October 5, with results to be announced on October 8. As the campaign intensifies, all eyes are on the Congress party's ability to galvanize support and challenge the ruling BJP in this crucial election.
