Rahul Gandhi tastes mirchi 'pakoda' at Kalmala village

Gandhi himself paid the bill and resumed his poll campaign.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and other Congress leaders devoured local cuisine mirchi pakoda and tea (called as 'bajji' in Kannada) at Kalmala village in Raichur district. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka party in charge K C Venugopal and Minister DK Shivakumar accompanied Rahul Gandhi.

After addressing the villagers who are facing drinking water problems, Gandhi along with Congress leaders visited a hotel and had Mirchi Bhajji and puffed rice, which was served by owner Maramma.

While eating, Gandhi was in all smiles talking to the leaders including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah sitting on his right and Veerappa Molly to his left.
