Rahul Gandhi Reacts To PM Modi's Remarks On Electoral Bonds, Calls Prime Minister Mastermind Of Extortion Scam
Minutes after Prime Minister Narendra shared his views with news agency ANI on Electoral bonds, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi came out all guns blazing at the PM stating 'he has been caught'. Congress MP termed electoral bonds as the biggest scam in India's election history and extortion scheme introduced by BJP highlighting that PM Modi is the mastermind behind this scam.
Rahul Gandhi, who was in his own Lok Sabha constituency Wayanad today to campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, told the media to cross-check the dates and names of the companies who gave electoral bonds to BJP soon after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) or Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided their offices.

"The important thing in electoral bond is- names and dates. If you see the names and dates you will know that when they (donors) gave the electoral bond, right after that contract was given to them or CBI inquiry was withdrawn against them," Rahul Gandhi said.
He further stated that the Court has caught PM that's why he is giving an interview to ANI to issue clarification. (Pradhan Mantri pakade gaye hain isiliye ANI ko interview de rahe hain.)
"This is the biggest extortion scheme of the world and PM Modi is the mastermind of it...Ask the PM to explain that one day CBI inquiry starts and immediately after that they get the money and immediately after that CBI inquiry is scrapped. Big contracts, infrastructure contracts- the company gives money, and immediately after that they are given the contract. The truth is it is extortion and PM Modi has masterminded it," the former Congress chief said.
In his interview with ANI, PM Modi said people will regret the decision to scrap the electoral bonds scheme and only because of transparency in it, the trail of money donated through electoral bonds to political parties can be traced.
"Which company gave it? How did they give it? Where did they give it? And that is why I say when they (opposition) will think honestly, everyone will regret it (on the Supreme Court decision to scrap electoral bonds)," PM Modi said.
