Rahul Gandhi Appointed Leader Of Opposition In Lok Sabha

Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP from Raebareli, has been named the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha.

The announcement was made by the Congress party leader KC Venugopal after the meeting of floor leaders of opposition parties concluded today.

"Wrote a letter to pro-tem Speaker Bhartruhari Mahtab, informing the decision of appointment of Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha," Venugopal said at a press briefing.

Rahul's appointment as LoP comes hours before the historic election for the Lok Sabha Speaker's post tomorrow.
