Rahul Gandhi Drags Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Name Again To Corner BJP

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai has been dragged again to politics as Rahul Gandhi mentioned her name again to corner the BJP.

Speaking at the Samajik Nyay Sammelan in New Delhi on Wednesday, he said, "They used to say about me in the media that I am not interested in politics, I am not serious about politics. For them, the one fighting on MNREGA and the land acquisition bill is non-serious, while the one talking about Amitabh, Aishwarya Rai, and Virat Kohli is serious?"

In February, Rahul had mentioned her names on a few occasions. Speaking at a public gathering at the Transport Nagar Chowk in Chhattisgarh, the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had first targeted the BJP government over the Ram Mandir inauguration as he questioned why there were not any members of Backward Classes (OBCs) at the event.

"I saw Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Ambani, Adani, all the business people, but I did not see a single poor person. Not a single farmer was seen, not one labourer was seen, not one unemployed person was seen," he said.

In a separate rally, Gandhi had said, "Aishwarya will be seen dancing & Bachchan saab will do a Balle Balle.!"

The BJP had come down heavily on Rahul Gandhi. Karnataka BJP had described it as a "creepy obsession with a successful and self-made woman."
