Congress leader Rahul Gandhi found himself at the center of an unusual moment during his Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar's Purnea district when a man from the crowd suddenly ran up and kissed him on the cheek.

The incident occurred while Gandhi, wearing a helmet, was riding a motorcycle with Bihar Congress chief Rajesh Kumar as his pillion rider, alongside RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. The unexpected gesture caught everyone by surprise and briefly disrupted the rally.

Security personnel reacted instantly. A member of Yadav's security team leapt off his bike, chased down the man, slapped him, and handed him over to the police. CRPF officers immediately tightened their cordon around Gandhi, who continued the rally afterward.

Videos of the moment quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions online. Some users joked about Gandhi's ability to draw such passionate supporters, while others raised serious concerns over repeated security lapses. One comment read: "If people can get close enough to kiss him, imagine the risks involved."

Despite the breach, Gandhi resumed his journey, waving to cheering crowds. The yatra, which spans 1,300 kilometers across 20 districts, is aimed at highlighting alleged voter list manipulations and what the opposition calls "vote theft" in Bihar.

The rally is scheduled to conclude in Patna on September 1, ahead of the state assembly elections later this year.
