Women shower affection on Rahul Gandhi, plant kisses on his cheeks

Jorhat, Feb 27: Brace yourself ladies for this picture surely is going to break your hearts. On Wednesday, when Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi visited Jorhat in Assam, he got a welcome that he didn't expect at all, to say the least.

Not only was he welcomed by smiles and greetings, but women here were more than affectionate and planted a kiss on his forehead and cheek respectively. And what did Rahul Gandhi do, he just smiled out of embarassment.

Rahul was here to speak to close to 600 women from different walks of life as a part of his two day visit in Assam. Rahul interacted with them and they spoke to him on issues related to women security, development and reservation.

The women spoke to Rahul and said that they wanted to hold powerful posts in all sectors. We hope women will come forward in all sectors and be powerful, they said.

Rahul is currently meeting people from various fields including the common man and is gathering their views and opinions on the Congress party's election manifesto.
