Rahul Gandhi Expelled From Hinduism: Shankaracharya Declares Him Non-Hindu
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been branded a "non-Hindu" and banished from the Hindu religion by Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peeth in Uttarakhand. He has also demanded that Rahul's access to Hindu temples be prohibited nationwide, claiming that the Congress leader's remarks on Manusmriti in Parliament have offended supporters of Sanatan Dharma.
Three months ago, Rahul Gandhi was asked to explain his stance on the issue, but he did not reply, the seer disclosed. Swami Avimukteshwaranand has urged all Hindu priests to abstain from conducting any religious rites or pujas on Gandhi's behalf, accusing him of acting against Hindu principles.

The Shankaracharya highlighted that only sincere devotees should make the trip, citing the current Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand. He also urged all visitors to observe basic etiquette and refrain from using the Yatra as a form of amusement. He emphasised that rather than being a tourist activity, the pilgrimage should be undertaken with a pure heart and spiritual aim.
Furthermore, he said that the Chardham Yatra is a holy pilgrimage reserved only for adherents of Sanatan Dharma and that non-Hindus should not be permitted to take part in it. He urged the government to make sure that everyone who visits the four hallowed shrines-Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri-gets darshan and that none departs unsatisfied.
In order for the government to make changes for a better Yatra experience, the religious leader also urged followers to put their issues and recommendations in writing.
Furthermore, Swami Avimukteshwaranand declared that Jyotirmath and Brahma Kapal Tirth will host the Shradh (process of memory) for the victims of the recent Pahalgam terror assault, along with prayers for peace for their departed souls.
