Rahul’s admin skills under-utilised: DMK leader MK Stalin

Chennai, March 21: The much talk-about leader from DMK (second after Alagiri)-MK Stalin, in an interview said that he thinks very high of Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and that his skills have been under-utilised.

"He has come from a party of nationalist tradition and has been in active politics for about eight years. He is introducing many reforms within his party and has a secular vision, which I appreciate."

He also added,"Rahul has no opportunity to demonstrate his administrative capabilities so far as he has not served in any ministry. At this juncture, I can only say that today's politics is different from the time of late Indira Gandhi and her son Rajiv."

However, he did not say much on BJP's Prime Ministrial candidate and said that the people should decide his position in Indian politics. Speaking on its alliance in Tamil Nadu, Stalin added,"DMK is a 65-year-old party and has seen many elections and alliances. We have the greatest prospect of winning the election than any other alliance in the state." [Read full interview]
