After registering a thumping victory in Rajasthan Assembly Polls 2023, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top brass's entire focus has been shifted to choosing the chief minister for the state. Many prominent names including former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje, Hindu face Mahant Balak Nath, BJP State Unit chief CP Joshi, and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat are in the race for the chief minister's position.

In the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly, the BJP won 115 out of 199 seats which went under polling. Election on one seat was postponed due to the death of a candidate. The party contested the election collectively under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership without announcing the CM face.
