'Qubool Hai' Under Duress: IAF Officer's Wife Alleges Rape, Blackmail And Forced Conversion

A 24-year-old woman, who is the wife of an Indian Air Force personnel, has levelled serious allegations of rape, blackmail, extortion, black magic and forced religious conversion against a former classmate and his associates in Nagpur. The case has triggered a major police investigation, with two accused already arrested and a search underway for a cleric allegedly involved in the conversion ritual.

The arrested accused have been identified as Ayaaz Madare and his associate Ameen Shaikh. Police have also launched a manhunt for a maulana from Madhya Pradesh who has been named in the complaint.

Alleged Drugging, Sexual Assault and Extortion

According to the FIR, the woman met Ayaaz Madare at a hotel on February 8, 2025. She alleged that he secretly mixed an intoxicating substance into her drink, causing her to lose consciousness.

When she regained awareness, she discovered that objectionable photographs and videos had allegedly been recorded without her consent. The accused then allegedly used the material to threaten her, warning that the content would be shared with her husband and circulated on social media.

The complainant told police that she was repeatedly subjected to sexual assault and that nearly Rs 4 lakh was extorted from her through intimidation and blackmail.

Viral Video Emerges as Crucial Evidence

Investigators are examining a viral video that has become a significant piece of evidence in the case. The footage allegedly shows the woman crying and attempting to free herself while Ayaaz Madare holds her hands and performs religious chants.

"Chhodo Mujhe" (let me go), the woman is heard saying in the video as Ayaaz forcefully holds her hands while chanting religious verses and repeatedly blowing over her.

The complainant alleged that after this episode she was declared "converted" against her wishes and that an attempt was subsequently made to rape her.

In her statement, she further claimed that Ayaaz frequently made her consume a liquid brought in a plastic bottle. Afterward, he would allegedly recite words in Urdu, blow on her face and tell her that the process involved "hypnosis and black magic" before sexually assaulting her. The video is also alleged to depict a black magic or hypnosis ritual.

Forced Conversion and Alleged Nikah Ceremony

The FIR details another incident that allegedly took place on May 31. The woman claimed that Ayaaz Madare and Ameen Shaikh forcibly took her to Kalmeshwar, where a cleric identified as Hazrat Maulana from Tamia village in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district conducted religious rituals.

According to the complaint, the cleric allegedly compelled her to say "qubool hai" as part of a conversion process carried out against her will. She alleged that after the ceremony, the maulana declared that she had converted to Islam and that her nikah with Ayaaz had been solemnised.

The woman further alleged that she was forced to eat meat and recite the kalma. She claimed that after the ritual she was taken to a hotel, where Ayaaz raped her again. The complaint also states that the accused later continued visiting her residence and sexually assaulting her.

Police Probe Expands Across States

Nagpur Police have registered offences related to rape, repeated sexual assault, extortion, blackmail and forced religious conversion. Authorities have also invoked provisions of the state's anti-black magic law as part of the investigation.

Electronic devices seized during the probe are currently undergoing forensic examination, and investigators believe the digital evidence could play a key role in establishing the sequence of events.

DCP Suresh Reddy said: "In her complaint, the woman has alleged rape, extortion, conversion, and black magic. Electronic devices seized are being forensically analysed. This evidence will be very crucial. A police team has gone to another state to search for the maulana who performed the conversion. A thorough investigation is underway."

Police teams have been dispatched to Madhya Pradesh to locate the cleric named in the FIR, while further investigation into the allegations continues.
