IMD Issues Yellow Alert for Hyderabad

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, has issued a yellow alert for the city in view of the expected weather fluctuations. According to the forecast, heatwave conditions are likely to prevail during the afternoon hours, while thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and squally winds may develop in the evening.

Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious during peak afternoon hours and stay updated on weather advisories as conditions evolve through the day.

Weather Expert Predicts Heat Across Telangana

T Balaji, a weather enthusiast widely known for his accurate forecasts and popular on X as Telangana Weatherman, has projected high temperatures across several parts of the state.

According to his forecast, temperatures in north and east Telangana are expected to hover between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius. In Hyderabad, the mercury is likely to climb to around 38 degrees Celsius.

However, he also predicted that the city could experience isolated passing showers later in the evening or during the night, offering respite from the daytime heat.

Monday's Temperatures Indicate Rising Heat

Data released by the Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS) showed that Dummugudem in Bhadradri Kothagudem district recorded the state's highest maximum temperature on Monday at 42.2 degrees Celsius.

Within Hyderabad, Bahadurpura emerged as the hottest location, registering a maximum temperature of 38.7 degrees Celsius.

The figures highlight the intense heat currently affecting several regions of Telangana and underscore the likelihood of another hot day ahead.

Evening Rain Expected to Ease Conditions

Meteorologists expect temperatures to rise further during the day due to prevailing heatwave conditions. However, the forecast of evening rainfall is expected to bring significant relief to residents struggling with the scorching weather.
