Putin To Netanyahu, World Leaders Wish PM Modi On 75th B'day With Messages of Friendship

Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked his 75th birthday on Wednesday with an outpouring of admiration and heartfelt wishes from across the globe. The day was not only a celebration of his personal milestone but also a reflection of his growing stature on the world stage.

International Leaders Extend Warm Wishes

US President Donald Trump was the first person among the global leaders to personally call Modi on the eve of his birthday. In a message shared later, Trump said: "Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support in ending the War between Russia and Ukraine! President DJT."

Modi responded with warmth, calling Trump "my friend" and reaffirming his commitment to deepening India-US relations.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a detailed message lauding Modi's leadership: "Your work as head of government has earned you great respect from your compatriots and enormous prestige on the international stage. Under your guidance, India has achieved impressive results in the social, economic, scientific and technological spheres... I highly appreciate our close comradely relations."

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni praised Modi's strength and vision: "His strength, his determination, and his ability to lead millions of people are a source of inspiration. With friendship and esteem, I wish him health and energy to continue leading India toward a bright future and to further strengthen the relations between our Nations."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu echoed the sentiment: "Prime Minister Modi, my good friend Narendra, I want to wish you a happy birthday... we can bring our partnership and our friendship to even greater heights. Happy birthday, my friend."

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese shared a video message: "Happy Birthday to my friend Prime Minister Modi. Australia is proud to share such a strong friendship with India... I look forward to catching up with you soon, Prime Minister, and many more years of friendship and progress."

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon also sent a warm greeting: "Kia ora, namaskar, my good friend Prime Minister Modi. Congratulations on your 75th birthday... I'm really excited about New Zealand partnering more with India to achieve that vision... I wish you a very, very happy birthday."

Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov, in a heartfelt post in Hindi, wrote: "Heartfelt birthday greetings and best wishes to the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri @narendramodiji! We are grateful for his invaluable contribution in taking the decades-old friendship between Russia and India to new heights..."

Bill Gates, founder of the Gates Foundation, also joined in: "Prime Minister Modi, my best wishes to you on your 75th birthday... The Gates Foundation values our partnership with the Government of India immensely... Once again, my warmest wishes to you on this milestone occasion."

Celebrations at Home

Back in India, the day was marked by tributes from leaders across the political spectrum. President Droupadi Murmu praised Modi for instilling a culture of ambitious goal-setting and said the world was watching India with confidence under his leadership.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers, and BJP leaders reflected on Modi's journey from humble beginnings to becoming a global statesman. His Holiness the Dalai Lama also sent wishes for continued good health.

The BJP launched a nationwide "Sewa Pakhwada" campaign to honor the occasion, featuring blood donation drives, health camps, and cleanliness initiatives. Across the country, schools created rangoli tributes, gurudwaras held special prayers, and Ganga Aarti ceremonies lit up the evening.
