Punjab Rail Accident: Goods Train Collided Near Madhopur; 2 Injured
Two goods trains collided near Madhopur in Sirhind earlier on Sunday morning, injuring two loco pilots. The injured people have been admitted to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Ratan Lal, Government Railway Police (GRP) Sirhind Police Station, said that they received they received information that an accident took place around 3.30 am. He said, "We have reached the spot...Two loco pilots have been injured and they have been admitted to Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib. No casualties have been reported,"

Dr Evanpreet Kaur of Civil Hospital Fatehgarh Sahib stated, "In the train accident, two injured loco pilots have been referred to Rajindra Hospital, Patiala... Both are residents of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh."

The two loco pilots are identified as Vikas Kumar and Himanshu Kumar. However, there was no casualties reported.
An official told PTI that the accident caused one of the engines to flip over to another track and hit a passenger train.
"Vikas Kumar suffered injuries to his head and Himanshu Kumar to his back," PTI quoted Fatehgarh Sahib Civil Hospital doctor as saying.
