Pb Guv seeks British cooperation in sustainable development
Chandigarh, Oct 5: Punjab Governor V P Singh Badnore met British Deputy High Commissioner David Lelliott here today and discussed issues pertaining to sustainable development.
"There is major scope of cooperation in areas of sustainable development particularly in the fields of education, transport, waste management and urban development," Badnore said during the discussion.

The area of our interest is segregation of waste for which we need the latest technology, he told Lelliott. Stressing upon exchange programmes, the Governor said,"If British teachers can come and teach here for a year or two it would help in raising the standard of education."
Lelliott assured Badnore that they would extend all possible cooperation and share the latest technical know-how in various areas.
