Punjab: Explosion in potato cold storage in Sangrur

One person was killed and four others were injured after an explosion in a potato cold storage in Sangrur district in Punjab.

The building was crowded when the tragedy occurred as many farmers were there to stock the potato harvest. It is learnt that the gas leak started in the chiller plant and that led to an explosion. However, it is yet to be cleared.

As soon as the news broke out, the police rushed to the spot. However, a probe into these charges is yet to be issued, with the administration now focusing on the rescue operations.
