In connection with the case, the Pune police crime branch officials have also questioned the teenager's grandfather, a friend who was present in the car at the time of the accident, and the driver.

The father of the minor, a prominent city-based builder, has been arrested by the police. The investigation revealed that the luxury car is registered in the name of a realty firm owned by the Agarwal family, making the grandfather one of its owners and thereby linking him to the ownership of the car involved in the accident.

During the investigation process, an altercation occurred as reporters attempted to question the minor's grandfather. A man accompanying him obstructed and heckled them, leading to police intervention to prevent further escalation.

The police are meticulously gathering evidence, including CCTV footage from various locations visited by the accused before the accident. This footage is crucial for establishing who was driving at the time of the incident. Additionally, a forensic team has examined both the accident site and the Porsche car to analyze technical aspects such as GPS and onboard cameras.

In light of this incident, BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Medha Kulkarni took to X to express her concerns over the Juvenile Justice Act. She suggested that the act requires review as it allows minors to exploit legal loopholes to evade serious charges.

This case has brought attention to several issues, including underage driving, parental responsibility, and potential gaps within legal frameworks dealing with juvenile offenders. As investigations continue, authorities are determined to piece together events leading up to this tragic accident.
