Pune Businessman commits suicide, leaves note

Ajay Chordia was found hanging in his hotel room. A hotelier, Chordia also managed the real-estate firm Panchsil Realty, which hit the headlines in 2011 after BJP alleged that it was partly owned by Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule, and her husband, Sadanand.

Police informed that the businessman had left a suicide note behind, which is being verified.

Senior Police Inspector B Mudiraj of the Pimpri police station said,"We found Ajay Chordia's dead body in a hanging state in the gallery of Double Tree Hotel in Chinchwad at 2.45 PM today. We also found a suicide note. We are verifying this note."

The body has been sent to YCM Hospital in Pimpri. However, police have not come to any conclusions so far and investigations are on.

Meanwhile, no case has been filed yet. Chordia had his business in Pimpri and Chinchwad. He was also the director of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India.
