Provide security for online taxi services: Kerala HC
Kochi, March 17: The Kerala High Court on Thursday, March 17 directed the state police to ensure necessary security to all drivers working for operators of online taxi services.
Justice V. Chitambaresh directed Kerala Police chief T.P. Senkumar to ensure the safety and security of all such drivers operating online taxi services at railway and bus stations and airports in the state.

An online taxi driver had moved the high court with a plea that he was unable to work unhindered as he was prevented by members of the traditional taxi drivers' unions.
Ever since online taxi providers like Uber and Ola Cabs launched operations in Kerala, their drivers have come under attack by other taxi drivers.
