Probe ordered for medical negligence after 8 unborn babies die
Bulandshahr, Jul 28 : Eight women lost their unborn babies allegedly after they were given an overdose of oxytocin to induce labour at a health centre at Danpur town here, prompting authorities to initiate an inquiry.
The matter came to light after a victim, Suman, resident of Tulsigarhi village, lodged a complaint with the Chief Medical Officer that a ward boy at the primary health centre allegedly gave her an overdose of oxytocin to induce labour.

Eight women had lost their unborn babies in the last one week allegedly under similar circumstances.
Chief Medical officer Deepak Ohri said he is taking cognizance of the matter and a concerned additional CMO has been direct to conduct an inquiry into the deaths.
