Probe begins into former cricketer Debashish Mohanty's complaint on vulgar remarks
The Odisha police on Monday began probe into fromer Indian cricketer Debashish Mohanty's allegation that some mischievous elements have been uploading obscene and offensive materials about him on the Internet using his and his wife's photographs.

Mohanty had filed a written complaint with the cyber police alleging that vulgar remarks against him and obscene materials by morphing his photographs were uploaded on the internet.
Earlier, he had complained of such incident with the State Crime Branch, which did not take exemplary action. However, when things turned uglier, Mohanty made a written complaint with the police.
The 41-year-old Mohanty represented India in two Test matches and 45 ODIs. Mohanty mostly played for India during the 1990s and picked four wickets in Tests. He also picked 57 scalps in the ODI games, something that made him a significant addition to the side.
