Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to Speak at Public Meeting in Rajasthan's Tonk District

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, is set to address a public meeting in Tonk district of Rajasthan on September 10, as confirmed by party leaders last Friday. The meeting will be held at the Vivekananda Model School located in Jhilae village of the district and will also be attended by several high-ranking members of the party including Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Preparations for Public Meeting

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Swarnim Chaturvedi announced that along with Gandhi, other key figures such as Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa - the party's Rajasthan in-charge, state unit president Govind Singh Dotasra, and Gehlot would grace the occasion. In preparation for this event, Chief Minister Gehlot visited the venue last Friday evening.

Indira Rasoi Yojana Expansion

In addition to preparing for this significant political gathering, Gehlot revealed plans to inaugurate 300 kitchens simultaneously across rural areas under the Indira Rasoi Yojana. This scheme has gained popularity due to its subsidy-based approach which provides meals at a minimal cost of Rs 8 amidst rising inflation rates. "Our Indira Rasoi Yojana has become very popular," said Gehlot during his visit to Niwai where he expressed his belief that holding programs like these matter.

An official spokesperson further explained that until now this scheme was operational only in cities but will soon extend its reach into villages too. "The scheme will now be started in villages and Chief Minister Gehlot will start it from Niwai on Sunday", he added.

Security Measures
