PM Narendra Modi hails student who collected relief fund for Jammu Kashmir victims

16-year-old Duvvuri Rohini Pratyusha, a Class XII student of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Kuwait, collected Rs 2.15 lakh by reaching out to Indian families after school hours. She handed over the money to the Embassy of India in Kuwait to be sent to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
Commending her effort, Modi wrote in a letter to her that there is no cause greater and nobler than helping others, especially those caught in a moment of great adversity.
He praised Pratyusha's leadership, organizational abilities and concern for the victims of the flood.
Unprecedented floods in Jammu and Kashmir last month caused devastation and left thousands homeless.
