President Pranab Mukherjee to host governors' conference

New Delhi, Feb 10: President

will host a two-day conference of

. It begins Feb 13.

"This is the 45th governors' conference and the second such conference to be presided over by Pranab Mukherjee," a statement from Rashtrapati Bhawan said here Monday.

Thirty governors and Lt. governors of the states and union territories would attend the conference.

"The prime minister, union ministers of defence, finance, home affairs, law and justice, external affairs, tribal affairs, human resource development, deputy chairman, planning commission and minister of state (independent charge) in the ministry of development of north eastern region will participate in the two-day deliberations," the statement said.
