Prayers held in memory of Tsunami victims

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 26: People paid homage to victims of the Tsunami disaster that lashed the coastal areas of the state, mainly at Kollam and Alappuzha districts, on this day in 2004.

Remembrance meeting and special prayers were held at the coastal belt of Kayamkulam in Kollam and Alappad, Aratupuzha in Alappuzha districts where the waves had caused maximum damage.

The tsunami claimed more than 160 lives in Kerala. People paid floral tributes at the Tsunami Victim Memorial at Tharayakad in Kollam district.
