Pratyusha death case: Her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh threatens to jump off hospital building

Mumbai, April 17: After sudden demise of popular TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee in mysterious circumstances in her Mumbai apartment, her parents filed complaint to the Indian Medical Association (IMA) seeking action against the city based hospital Sri Sai Hospital for shielding Pratyusha's boyfriend, who was admitted there to avoid complete investigation over the suicide case.

A day after Pratyusha's death on April 1, Rahul Raj Singh was admitted to a hospital for depression and suicidal tendency treatment.

Recently according to media report, on Friday, April 17 Singh locked himself in the hospital washroom and treatened to jump off from the building where he is undergoing depression treatment.

In a police complaint, Pratyusha's father said, "my daughter was found dead in her flat in mysterious condition and was declared dead by the Kokilaben Hospital", while alleging that he suspects that Rahul has killed their daughter.

"Rahul is admitted to hospital to avoid further probe in the case. There is a conspiracy between the mangement of the hospital and the accused to get shelter in hospital," e concluded.

According to the latest reports, Rahul was discharged from the hospital on Sunday, April 17.
