Prashant Kishor Hospitalised After Roadshow Injury In Bihar, Events Suspended
Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor sustained a rib injury during a roadshow in Arrah, Bihar, on Friday, July 18, 2025. The injury occurred when Kishor leaned out of his vehicle to greet supporters amid a tightly packed crowd. According to party officials, while attempting to engage with the public, he injured his ribs during the interaction.
Following the incident, Kishor managed to reach the party's stage with assistance but soon began experiencing chest pain and discomfort. His team responded promptly, suspecting that the injury may have been caused either by crowd pressure or a jolt while leaning from the car-possibly getting caught in the door or pressed by supporters.

As his condition worsened, he was removed from the stage and immediately transported to Patna for medical evaluation and treatment. The roadshow, held at Arrah's Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium, was disrupted due to the incident, and Kishor had to cancel his remaining scheduled appearances for the day.
Doctors attending to him confirmed that his chest pain stemmed from the rib injury. He is currently under medical observation. While the party has not released an official medical bulletin yet, sources indicate that his condition is being carefully monitored.
The episode underscores the challenges political leaders face in terms of safety and crowd control during mass public events in Bihar.
