Pranab Mukherjee stresses need to imbibe technology in education
New Delhi, Sep 5 President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday stressed on the need to imbibe technology in education and said teachers should instill in children civilisational values of sacrifice, tolerance, pluralism, understanding and compassion.

Greeting teachers on the occasion of Teacher's day, the President said that this was an occasion when we recognise the dedicated services of the teachers of our nation.
"A sound education system is the bedrock of an enlightened society. Inspired teachers are the building blocks of a good education system," the President said in series of tweets.
He said :"Teachers should instill in children civilizational values of sacrifice, tolerance, pluralism, understanding and compassion. Our teachers need to imbibe technology and new methodologies to create modern and effective approaches to teaching and learning."
He extended greetings and felicitations to the teachers throughout the country on the occasion of Teachers' Day for "their dedication and commitment to the great cause of educating our youth".
