New Delhi, March 22: India is committed to building ties with Pakistan in an environment free from terror and violence, President Pranab Mukherjee said on Wednesday.

The President greeted the government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of their National Day (March 23).
In a message to his Pakistani counterpart Mamnoon Hussain, Mukherjee said: "On behalf of the government and people of India and on my own behalf, I extend greetings to you and to the friendly people of Pakistan.
"India is committed to building ties with Pakistan in an environment free from terror and violence."
