Prajwal Revenna Obscene Videos Case: Amit Shah Backs Demand For Probe, Asks What Karnataka Govt Is Doing?

Days after sexual harassment and stalking allegations were leveled against JDS-BJP MP Prajwal Revanna, who is also NDA's candidate from the Hassan constituency, Union Home Minister Amit Shah cleared BJP's stand on the burning issue. He said, "BJP's stand is clear that we stand with the 'Matr Shakti' of the country, adding that saffron front is in favor of investigation."

Backing the alliance partner, Amit Shah added that Janata Dal (Secular) has also asked for a probe and agrees to take strict action against the accused if found guilty.

Shah also slammed Congress' state government over the issue questioning whose government is there in Karnataka? Why they have not taken any action till now?

Meanwhile, MP Prajwal Revanna has been expelled by the party and the official announcement was made by former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy and JD(S) core committee members.

On Monday, Kumaraswamy said the party has decided to expel Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna over sexual allegations. He added that the decision was taken after JD(S) supremo and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda sought immediate action against Prajwal.

"A decision was already made. Tomorrow it is to be recommended at the core committee meeting in Hubballi. Because he (Prajwal) is a Member of Parliament, it has to be done from Delhi. So I requested Deve Gowda. Neither he (Gowda) nor I were aware of this issue."

The sensitive matter came to light after a letter written by a Karnataka BJP leader emerged stating he is in possession of a pen drive loaded with nearly 3000 obscene videos showcasing MP Prajwal Revanna. He also alleged that Pravenna used to blackmail these women.
