Poll Of Exit Polls Gives Congress Edge In Chhattisgarh, BJP Likely To Improve Previous Tally

All exit polls unanimously indicate that the Congress is expected to retain its hold in Chhattisgarh. As per the Poll of Polls, the Congress is expected to secure 49 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to clinch 38 seats. Three seats are expected to be secured by other parties. Notably, the BJP is likely to improve upon its prior tally of 15 seats. Votes cast during the elections will undergo counting on December 3, with the results promptly declared on the same day.

Chhattisgarh is demarcated into three regions - Sarguja, Central, and Bastar, hosting the assembly elections in two phases on November 7 and 17.

Times Now-ETG Exit Polls:
Projections indicate the Congress securing 48-56 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is estimated to attain 32-40 constituencies. Other parties are expected to secure two to four seats. The BJP is anticipated to garner a 42.4% vote share, with the Congress expected to achieve 46.7%, while other parties might obtain 10.9%.

India Today-My Axis Exit Polls:
This forecast foresees the Congress attaining 40-50 seats, with the BJP anticipated to secure 36-46 constituencies. Other parties might secure one to five seats.

ABP-CVoter:
Predictions by ABP-CVoter suggest 41-53 seats for the Congress and 36-48 seats for the BJP. Other parties are expected to secure one to four seats.

Today's Chanakya

Today's Chanakya predicted that the BJP would get 33 seats (plus-minus 8 seats) and the Congress would bag a clear majority 57 seats (plus-minus 8).

In the 2018 assembly polls, the Congress assumed power in the state for the first time, securing 68 seats, while the BJP managed to secure only 15 seats. The Janta Congress Chhattisgarh and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) won five and two seats, respectively.
