Police complaint filed against Teesta Setalvad for posting offensive image

The complaint was filed at the Goa Police Cybercell near Panaji by one Rohit Gaunker under section 66A of the Information Technology Act.
The complainant said the Tweet uploaded by the activist from her handle @TeestaSetalvad "hurts religious sentiments of Hindus and mocks and offends Hindu religion".
Setalvad faced flak for uploading an image of a Hindu goddess on a social site
A police official attached to the cell said no First Information Report had been filed yet.
"Only a complaint has been filed. We are in the process of conducting preliminary enquiries," an official said.
The controversial post was later deleted by the writer-activist but by then it had already been circulated. She also posted an apology on Twitter though that could do little in convincing the angry Twitteratti.
