PMK candidate joins AIADMK

Tirunelveli (TN), May 13: In an embarrassment to the PMK ahead of the May 16 assembly polls, its candidate for Nanguneri constituency, Tirupathi Reddiar joined AIADMK in the presence of its senior party leader Nainar Nagendran.

Political observers feel that the PMK candidate joining the AIADMK may not have any impact on the outcome, as the list of candidates had been finalised.

Nainar Nagendran had been instrumental in pulling the PMK candidate to his side to ensure the victory of Vijayakumar, AIADMK candidate for Nanguneri, party sources said.
