PM-UDAY Processing Centres in Delhi to Operate Seven Days a Week for Faster Application Processing

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced that all 10 processing centres under the PM-UDAY scheme will now operate every day of the week. This decision follows instructions from LG VK Saxena, aiming to speed up the application process and ensure residents receive ownership rights promptly.

PM-UDAY Centres Now Open Seven Days a Week

Residents of PM-UDAY unauthorised colonies have frequently requested this change. The PM-UDAY Scheme seeks to grant ownership rights to residents in 1,731 unauthorised colonies across Delhi. Its main goal is to provide legal recognition to these properties by conferring ownership rights.

Enhanced Accessibility for Residents

By extending operations to weekends, the centres will increase their capacity to handle applications and resolve pending cases more swiftly. This change is expected to lead to faster processing and disposal of applications.

This initiative will particularly benefit residents who find it difficult to submit documents or follow up on their applications during weekdays. The DDA anticipates that this measure will significantly improve accessibility for residents of the 1,731 unauthorised colonies covered under PM-UDAY.

Improving Application Processing

The DDA aims for this step to enhance the overall effectiveness of application processing and the issuance of authorisation slips or conveyance deeds. By operating daily, the centres can better serve the community's needs and address any backlog in applications.

Increased operational hours will provide more opportunities for residents to engage with the PM-UDAY centres. This change is designed to streamline processes and ensure timely delivery of services, benefiting both residents and administrative efficiency.

The initiative reflects a commitment to improving service delivery and addressing residents' concerns effectively. By making these changes, the DDA hopes to facilitate smoother interactions between residents and processing centres, ultimately leading to a more efficient system.
