PM Modi wishes Jharkhand governor on her birthday
New Delhi, June 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended birthday greetings to Droupadi Murmu, the first woman governor of Jharkhand.
"I convey warm birthday greetings to the governor of Jharkhand, Droupadi Murmu ji," Modi tweeted.
Murmu was on May 18 sworn in as the governor of Jharkhand. A two-time BJP MLA from Odisha, she was a minister in the Naveen Patnaik cabinet when the Biju Janata Dal ruled the state with the support of Bharatiya Janata Party.
