PM Narendra Modi to visit Jayalalithaa soon, confirms Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan
Union minister of state for highways and shipping Pon Radhakrishnan on Sunday told reporters that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would soon visit Chennai to enquire about the health condition of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

However, the union minister did not specify the exact date of PM Modi's visit to Chennai.
Amma (as the CM is popularly known to her fans) is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital at Greams Road, Chennai, since September 22.
"The Prime Minister is keen to know about the health condition of Jayalalithaa and get updates on it and will soon visit Chennai," he told reporters.

Earlier some unconfirmed media reports suggested that PM Modi was likely to meet Jayalalithaa at the hospital on October 15.
Since almost a month now, several top leaders from various political parties, including Rahul Gandhi, Arun Jaitley and Amit Shah, had visited the hospital to enquire about the ailing Chief Minister's health.
