PM Narendra Modi crosses 10 mn follower mark on Twitter
New Delhi, Feb 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has crossed the 10 million mark in terms of number of followers on the popular social media platform Twitter.
Modi, who made his Twitter debut in January 2009, is the second most followed politician on Twitter, behind US President Barack Obama and ahead of Mitt Romney (USA).

Besides, he is also the third most followed world leader behind Obama and the Pope. "Our PM Mr Modi has reached 10 million followers on Twitter," the micro-blogging site said in a statement today.
The site added that his election victory tweet was the most retweeted tweet in India in 2014.
Twitter said that in a series of firsts, Modi is the first Prime Minister in the world to use Twitter Mirror and the first politician to make a video tweet.
Modi, an active social media user, has a fan base of more than 27 million on the world's largest social networking platform Facebook.
