Former President Donald Trump addressed his supporters on Wednesday, expressing gratitude for their support and highlighting the powerful mandate given to Republicans. During his speech in Florida, Trump celebrated regaining control of the Senate, describing it as a significant achievement. He stated, "America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate. We have taken back control of the Senate – wow that's good." Trump emphasised that this victory would contribute to national healing.

Projections indicate that Trump is poised to secure 270 electoral college votes, effectively blocking Harris' path to victory. By 1 pm, Associated Press reports showed Trump with 267 electoral votes compared to Harris' 214.

MAGA Movement's Impact

Trump highlighted the success of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement in several key Senate races across states like Montana, Nevada, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. "And the Senate races in Montana, Nevada, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania were all won by the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement they helped so much," Trump said.

The former president described these victories as incredible and pledged unwavering dedication to serving Americans. "The number of victories in the Senate was absolutely incredible," he added. "I will fight for you with every breath in my body; will not rest until we have delivered strong, safe and prosperous America," said Trump.
