In preparation for the Prime Minister's visit, Mizoram Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena held a meeting with various departments and law enforcement agencies. The meeting focused on security arrangements, traffic management, reception plans, and street decorations. Additionally, arrangements were discussed to enable government employees, farmers, and students from schools and colleges to participate in the inaugural event in Lammaul, Aizawl.

Railway Line Boosts Connectivity

The newly constructed 51.38-kilometre railway line is a significant part of the Centre's Act East Policy. This policy aims to enhance connectivity and economic integration across the Northeast region. The railway line will connect Aizawl with the rest of India through Silchar town in Assam.

While officials in Imphal have not confirmed the Prime Minister's visit to Manipur, it remains a significant development as it would be his first trip there since May 2023. The ethnic violence that occurred earlier this year has been a matter of concern for many residents and officials alike.
