PM Modi to Take Holy Dip At Triveni Sangam Tomorrow Days After Deadly Stampede At Mahakumbh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to take a holy dip at Prayagraj's Triveni Sangam on Wednesday (February 5) during the ongoing Maha Kumbh festival.

This comes just days after a stampede near the Sangam during the 'amrit snan' (royal bath) on Mauni Amavasya, which claimed the lives of at least 30 devotees and left nearly 60 people injured.

Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav is expected to raise the issue in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister's visit is scheduled as follows:

• 10:05 AM - Arrival at Prayagraj Airport
• 10:10 AM - Travel from Prayagraj Airport to DPS Helipad
• 10:45 AM - Arrival at Arail Ghat
• 10:50 AM - From Arail Ghat, take a boat to reach the Mahakumbh
• 11:00 - 11:30 AM - Reserved time for the Mahakumbh Mela
• 11:45 AM - Return by boat to Arail Ghat, then travel back to DPS Helipad and onward to Prayagraj Airport
• 12:30 PM - Departure from Prayagraj by Indian Air Force aircraft.
