The Prime Minister's visit coincides with the recent Allahabad High Court's approval for constructing the corridor of Yogi Adityanath's Banke Bihari temple in UP, clearing the path by resolving encroachments.

According to Cabinet Minister Chaudhary Lakshmi Narayan, PM Modi's itinerary includes a visit to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and attendance at the Braj Raj Utsav. His scheduled arrival in Mathura is at 4 pm, and departure is expected around 6:15 pm.

PM Modi will participate in 'Sant Mirabai Janmotsav' - a programme being organised to celebrate the 525th Birth Anniversary of Sant Mirabai in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh on 23rd November, 2023 at around 4:30 PM. He will also release a commemorative stamp and coin in honour of Sant Mira Bai. Prime Minister will also attend the cultural programme organised on the occasion. The programme will also mark the initiation of year-long programmes in the memory of Sant Mirabai. Sant Mirabai is known for her devotion to Lord Krishna. She composed many hymns and verses, which are popular even today.

Mathura DM Shailendra Kumar Singh noted the possibility of the PM visiting Banke Bihari after landing at the Army Helipad, directly proceeding to the temple.

During his visit, PM Modi plans to address the gathering at the Braj Raj Utsav Railway Ground for approximately 40 minutes. Additionally, there's an agenda to view a 5-minute documentary prepared by the administration commemorating the 525th birth anniversary of Mirabai.
