PM Modi To Inaugurate Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024: Know Investment, Foreign Guests
To inaugurate the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, slated from January 10 to 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday landed in Ahmedabad to participate in it. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 will be held at Gandhinagar's Mahatma Mandir to highlight the 'Gateway to the Future'.
Over 34 partner countries and 16 organizations have joined hands for this year's Summit, which will celebrate "20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success". Gujarat has been a centre of attraction for foreign investors for the last two decades resulting in a USD 55 billion investment. Notably, USD 4.9 billion (₹37,059 crore) was invested by foreign investors in 2022-23.

Prime Minister Modi took X, formerly Twitter, to share information about his two-day visit to Ahmedabad.
"Landed in Ahmedabad a short while ago. Over the next two days, I will be taking part in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and related programs. It is a matter of immense joy that various world leaders will be joining us during this Summit. The coming of my brother, HH Mohamed Bin Zayed is very special.I have a very close association with the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and I am glad to see how this platform has contributed to Gujarat's growth and created opportunities for several people," PM Modi said.
According to the reports, exhibitors across the globe will participate in the extravaganza summit. India has invited UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the chief guest.
PM Modi will welcome the UAE President at the airport and is expected to do a 3-km-long roadshow in the city, said Safin Hasan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-East) for Ahmedabad city.
To ensure the safety and security of the prominent guests, state police have set up a dedicated frequency channel and installed CCTV cameras for monitoring.
Virendra Singh Yadav, Range DIG, Gandhinagar told the media "3-D mapping of venues (where programs are to be held) has been carried out using drones, and essential CCTV, PTZ cameras, and parking zone cameras have been strategically installed."

As per the reports, more than 50 Global CEOs including senior officials from the semiconductor, aerospace, and defence sectors will participate in the summit. "Already we have confirmation for 50-75 global CEOs who will be attending the summit," SJ Haider, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries department had told the media.
From the semiconductor industry, Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron Technology; Ajit Manocha, President of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), USA; Shankar Trivedi, Global Senior VP, Nvidia Corporation, USA; Bob Buttermore, senior VP, Rockwell Automation, USA; Kazuya Nakajo, Executive Vice-President, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO); Jeffery Chun, Simmtech; YJ Chen, CEO, Vedanta Display have confirmed their participation.
From the Aerospace industry, Ashmita Sethi, President and Country Head, Pratt and Whitney; Venkat Katkuri, Head of India and South Asia, Airbus Defence and Space; Sukaran Singh, CEO, Tata Advanced Systems; Saket Chaturvedi, CEO (MiG Complex), HAL Ltd; Gopi Ramesh Dharanidharan, MRO Lead, Adani Defence and Aerospace and Mohammed Saharan, VP, Emirates will grace the event.
