PM Modi To Chair High-Level Meeting With 20 CMs Today; National Security, Caste Census Likely To Be Discussed
As per the information from government sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today chair an important meeting with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ruled states. This high-level is reportedly set to be held at Prime Minister's residence in New Delhi, where issues like national security, caste census, and innovative ways for better governance will be discussed.
It is expected that nearly 20 Chief Ministers and 18 Deputy Chief Ministers under the NDA banner will attend today's meeting. Alongside them, notable figures such as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President JP Nadda will also be in attendance, highlighting the event's significance.

The convocation is set to deliberate on a trio of critical agenda items. Foremost among these is national security, with a special focus on congratulating the armed forces and Prime Minister Modi for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor. This operation, a strategic counter-terrorism initiative, targeted nine terror hubs across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, marking a significant triumph in India's defense efforts. Additionally, the assembly will acknowledge the central government's decision to incorporate caste data in the upcoming national census, a move hailed as a significant stride towards achieving social justice. Furthermore, Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states will showcase impactful governance initiatives and schemes, fostering an environment of collaboration and exchange of innovative governance models across the alliance.
This meeting follows the successful strikes conducted by India's military on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) under 'Operation Sindoor'. It represents a concerted effort to bolster the NDA government's stance on national security and project a unified front in the aftermath of India's counter-terrorism operation across the border. The timing of the conference, occurring just a day after the 10th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog, emphasizes the Modi administration's dedication to national development and security.
The NITI Aayog meeting, led by Prime Minister Modi, was centered around the theme of 'Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat @2047', held at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. This assembly, along with the NDA conclave, underscores the government's long-term vision for India's progress and security, positioning it on a trajectory towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
