PM Modi Thanks Jharkhand Voters Even As JMM Emerges Victorious In Assembly Polls
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to the people of Jharkhand after the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) alliance took the lead in the state elections. He assured that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would continue to prioritise addressing public concerns and contributing to the state's development. Modi also congratulated the JMM-led coalition for their electoral success, acknowledging their performance in the state.
Election Results in Jharkhand
As of 5:45 pm, the JMM had secured 19 seats and was leading in 15 more. The Congress party won 8 seats and was leading in another 8, while the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) secured 1 seat and led in 3 others. The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation won 2 seats. The BJP had won 8 seats and was leading on 13, with its allies AJSU and JD(U) each leading on one seat, and LJP (RV) winning one seat.

Maharashtra Assembly Elections
In Maharashtra, PM Modi celebrated a "historic victory" for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, which either won or was ahead in 230 out of 288 assembly seats. He attributed this success to development and good governance. The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi managed to win or lead in only 50 seats. Modi expressed his appreciation for the support from Maharashtra's citizens, particularly women and youth.
On X, PM Modi stated, "Development wins! Good governance wins! United we will soar even higher! Heartfelt gratitude to my sisters and brothers of Maharashtra, especially the youth and women of the state, for a historic mandate to the NDA. This affection and warmth is unparalleled. I assure the people that our Alliance will keep working for Maharashtra's progress. Jai Maharashtra!"
By-Polls Across Various States
The Prime Minister also thanked voters across different states for supporting NDA candidates in recent by-polls. He emphasised that NDA's efforts are resonating nationwide and promised to work tirelessly to meet people's aspirations. By-polls were conducted in 48 assembly constituencies and two Lok Sabha seats across 15 states.
In Uttar Pradesh, out of nine contested seats, BJP won four and led on two more; its ally RLD led on one seat while Samajwadi Party secured two seats. In Bihar, NDA swept four seats while Congress claimed its sole victory in Rajasthan's Dausa bypoll.
PM Modi praised every NDA Karyakarta for their dedication during these elections, noting they engaged with communities to communicate their agenda of good governance effectively.
