Time and again, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken about Oscar Award-winning 'Naatu Naatu' song, but this time he has gone one step ahead as he showed the video of the hit track to Australian singer Guy Sebastian.

The Prime Minister arrived in Sydney on Monday for the third and final leg of his three-nation tour during which he will hold talks with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese and attend a community event to celebrate the country's dynamic, diverse Indian diaspora.

On Tuesday, he met several top business leaders and other dignitaries including Guy Sebastian.

After his meeting with PM Modi, Guy Sebastian said, "It is an incredible honour to meet his excellency. We talked about a whole bunch of things. He was so warm and kind and listened to everything with such respect. We talked about music and he showed me a song which has gone viral, called 'Naatu Naatu'. So, it's something that I am going to go and learn. We talked about my mother who is from Kanpur."

'Naatu Naatu' is a Telugu-language song composed by MM Keeravani. Chandrabose has penned the lyrics and it is sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.

It became the first song from an Indian film to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, as well as the first song from an Asian film to win the former.

The Prime Minister has praised the number on several occasions and had also hailed the members of the Korean Embassy in India when they danced to the hit song.

Talking more about his Indian connection, the singer stated, "We talked about my mother; she is from Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh). It was just a beautiful time for me. She (my mother) will be the first person I will call after this. She was so excited that I was meeting him (Prime Minister Modi). It is a huge honour,"

Later, he also shared about his meeting with the Indian Prime Minister on his Instagram account. "Today I had the great honour of meeting and spending time one-on-one with Prime Minister of India, His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi. I was humbled to be able to discuss many things, including my mother's Indian heritage, how proud I am of my own Indian heritage, as well as the arts and my music. We also discussed my plans to visit India this year. Prime Minister Modi was incredibly humble, warm and generous with his time," he said.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister met the CEOs of leading Australian companies including Dr Andrew Forrest, the Executive Chairman of Fortescue Future Industries, a Green energy and technology firm.
