PM Modi’s dejection comes from the fact BJP won’t win Karnataka: Shivakumar
The criticism of the Congress party's poll guarantees by Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes out of the dejection that the BJP will not win the elections in Karnataka, Congress chief, D K Shivakumar said.
Speaking to media persons, D K Shivakumar who is the chief of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee said that the Congress unlike the BJP, had only made only such promises that it was sure to fulfil.

"It was the BJP that made grand promises of crediting Rs 15 lakh into the accounts of voters. If you check the manifesto of the BJP, they had promised that farmer loans of up to Rs 1 lakh would be waived off. They had also promised to increase the duration of electricity to farmers' pump sets which they did not deliver,"Shivakumar also said.
He said that the Congress would sure deliver on its promise as soon as it comes to power. He said that the BJP double-engine government failed to control inflation. The government has also failed to gain the confidence of the people, he said. He said that the four promises Gruha Jyothi, Gruha Lakshmi, Anna Bhagya and Yuva Nidhi made by the Congress will surely be fulfilled once the party comes to power.
The Karnataka elections are being held on May 10 and the results would be declared on May 13.
