PM Modi Offers Prayers At Gujarat's Somnath Mandir

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited Gujarat's Somnath Jyotirling temple where he offered prayers. PM's visit is part of his three-day tour in Gujarat. PM Modi is also scheduled to head a meeting of the Shree Somnath Trust, where he serves as chairperson.

Earlier today, PM Modi visited Anant Ambani's Vantara, a centre dedicated to animal rescue and rehabilitation.

PM Modi Offers Prayers At Somnath Temple

On Saturday evening, PM Modi arrived in Jamnagar to participate in various events over two days. He spent the night at Sasan, which is home to the Gir National Park headquarters. On March 3, he is scheduled to experience a jungle safari there. After returning to 'Sinh Sadan', he will preside over a meeting of the National Board for Wildlife (NBWL) as its ex-officio chairman.

PM Modi's Engagements in Gujarat

The NBWL meeting will include 47 members such as the Chief of Army Staff and representatives from different states and NGOs focused on wildlife conservation. Additionally, chief wildlife wardens and secretaries from various states will also be present. This gathering underscores the importance placed on wildlife protection and conservation efforts.

During his visit to the Shri Somnath Jyotirlinga Mandir premises, PM Modi paid homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's idol. This act reflects his respect for historical figures who have contributed significantly to India's history and development.

PM Modi's itinerary includes chairing a crucial meeting at Sasan, which serves as Gir Wildlife Sanctuary's headquarters. The NBWL meeting aims to discuss strategies for wildlife conservation across India.
