PM Modi Makes Historic First Visit To RSS Headquarters Since Taking Office
Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the second sitting PM to visit the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur, following Atal Bihari Vajpayee's visit in 2000 during his third term. This marks PM Modi's first visit to the RSS headquarters since assuming office 11 years ago. During his visit, he described the Sangh as the 'banyan tree' of India's immortal culture.
With a packed schedule in Nagpur from early morning, PM Modi paid homage at the Dr. Hedgewar Smruti Mandir, honoring the founding fathers of the Sangh. He also visited Deekshabhoomi, the historic site where Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar embraced Buddhism in 1956.

Additionally, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, an extension of the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute & Research Centre, named after former RSS chief Madhavrao Golwalkar. His visit to Nagpur underscores his engagement with the RSS and his continued association with the organization's legacy.
