PM Modi Interview: PM's Views On Electoral Bonds, Opposition Criticism And More
Leading up to the 2024 Lok Sabha Election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed a range of topics, including electoral bonds, his involvement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the inauguration of the Ram Temple, the Santana Dharma controversy, and more. He has also criticised the Opposition, particularly the Congress and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).

In an interview with news agency ANI, PM Modi discussed several key issues, including electoral bonds and criticism surrounding them. He highlighted the transparency electoral bonds provide, stating, "Due to electoral bonds, you are getting the trail of the money. Which company gave it? How did they give it? Where did they give it? And that is why I say when they (opposition) will think honestly, everyone will regret it (on the Supreme Court decision to scrap electoral bonds)."
Regarding the BJP's promise of 'One Nation, One Election,' he reaffirmed the commitment, noting the positive suggestions received and the potential benefits for the country if implemented.
Addressing his involvement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict for the evacuation of Indian nationals, PM Modi disclosed his conversations with Presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasizing the need for dialogue over war.
On the 'Santana Dharma' controversy, he criticized the Congress for aligning with those disparaging Santana Dharma, redirecting people's anger towards the BJP in a positive manner.
Commenting on the Ram Temple issue, PM Modi criticized the Opposition for using it as a political weapon, highlighting that its construction has now removed the issue from their hands.
When questioned about allegations of central agencies' misuse and EVM tampering, he dismissed them as attempts to find excuses for potential defeats, emphasizing the BJP's commitment to fair play.
In a veiled jab at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi criticized the lack of commitment and responsibility in some politicians, highlighting contradictory statements made by some leaders.
Regarding his future plans after 10 years in governance, PM Modi reassured that his decisions are for the country's overall development and not to instill fear or diminish anyone.
Addressing the alleged 'North-South divide,' PM Modi emphasized India's unity in diversity, dismissing the notion of separate units within India and celebrating the country's cultural and linguistic diversity.
Responding to allegations that crossing the 400-seat mark in Lok Sabha would lead to changes in the Constitution, PM Modi dismissed them, emphasizing the government's commitment to celebrating and preserving India's diversity.
He also defended his promotion of local languages and diverse cultures, stating that such actions are aimed at enhancing diversity and celebrating India's rich heritage.
